Working Groups

The Council’s Working Groups lead on specific projects, meeting as required and reporting to relevant Committees and to Main Council. 

In 2015/16, the Council’s Working Groups include:

Allotments

Lead Member Cllr Veitch.  

Cllr Veitch oversees the management of the Council's allotment site.

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

        Cllrs Bowers, Cundy, Markham, May, Pittock, Rampton and Woof 

        This Group has overseen the introduction of CIL by Wokingham Borough Council, and ensures that the Council receives the CIL funds due to it, and that the funds are allocated to appropriate infrastructure projects.

Community Consultation and Communications

        Cllrs Bowers, Bromley, Cundy, Cornish, Pearce and Woof

This Group was set up in December 2015 to ensure that communications with Parish residents are maintained and improved, and that plans are in place to allow consultation with all residents to take place as and when appropriate.

Devolution

Cllrs Cundy, Pearce, Rampton.

This Group is monitoring plans for potential devolution of services and / or increased partnership working with Wokingham Borough Council and other Parishes.

Finchampstead Arborfield Steering Team (FAST)

Cllrs Bromley, Mrs Driver, May, Pearce, Pittock, Veitch.

The Group is monitoring progress of the Arborfield Garrison development, one of the Strategic Development Locations set out in Wokingham Borough Council's Core Strategy, representing the Council at various meetings and commenting on planning applications as they come forward. 

Parish Hardship Fund

Cllrs Cundy, Mrs Driver

The Parish Hardship Fund provides limited funds for individuals in need of assistance.  For further details please contact the Parish Clerk.

Risk Assessment

Cllrs Pittock, Rampton, Woof.

This Group ensures that arrangements are in place to protect the Council, its assets and projects as far as is possible.
